SUMMER 2010 FINANCIAL AID GRANTS
Students may apply for the summer study abroad grant through the TCU Scholarship and Financial Aid office, Sadler 108. The deadline for submission is December 15.
Eligibility includes attending a TCU Summer 2010 Program and demonstrated financial need through the FAFSA.
Award notifications are sent by January 22 to on-time applicants. Late applications will be reviewed on a funds available basis.
Financial Aid and Deposits:
All study abroad programs require a $500.00 non-refundable deposit to secure a student’s place in the program. The purpose of the non-refundable deposit is to 1) secure enrollment in the program, and 2) convey the student’s commitment to participate in the program. Under no circumstances is the $500.00 deposit refundable.Students applying for financial aid may set up an appointment with Bianca Allen (B.L.Allen3@tcu.edu, x 7488) at the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to inquire about their likelihood of receiving financial aid before they pay the non-refundable $500.00 deposit.Alternatively, students may wait until the financial aid awards are announced to pay their $500.00 deposit, but programs may fill before then.Students who are awarded financial aid may use aid money to pay the $500.00 deposit, but they will be responsible for the funds should they choose not to participate. Students will also be responsible for all non-refundable portions of the program fee if they withdraw.
Financial aid awards are determined according to many factors including the number of hours earned during the summer session. Please note, if you drop hours during the summer session, your financial aid will be adjusted accordingly. If you make changes to your enrollment, or have questions about how changes in your enrollment will affect your aid, please contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
SUMMER 2010 MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS are available for students who wanting to study abroad for a summer, semester or year. Students are encouraged to apply for the merit based scholarships by completing the application form. Applications are due December 15. Students will receive notifcation of awards by January 22.
